The SDWHEEL project aims to develop a mechatronic mechanism that combines within the dimensions of the wheel, the vehicle propulsion mechanism, the brake, the suspension, and the steering.

Through this project, Masermic will develop an evolution from the current wheel-hub version to its 3.0 version. This evolution involves the development of an electro-hydraulic brake, as well as the ability to integrate mechanical steering along with the current Drive-by-Wire system.

For the development of this project, Masermic has received funding for its SDWHEEL Research and Development project through SPRI, funding co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014-2020.
