The CIEN project on research and development of technologies for airport operations automation, applied to vehicles on the runway to enable autonomous circulation, has been completed.
In this project, Masermic has worked on the development and automation of runway vehicles for aircraft guidance and baggage transportation tasks.
Through this project, Masermic aims to advance technologies related to next-generation electronics applied to intelligent mobility. That’s why Masermic has led the use case of an automated GV for aircraft guidance and baggage transportation operations in airport handling.
This will allow the application of knowledge acquired in the Mobility sector to Airports and enables the development of niche hardware products.
For the development of this project, Masermic has received funding for its AIRPORTS Research and Development project through the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), funding co-financed by the European Union through the ERDF Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020.
